In this 80s comedy, we follow a man named Max, a city worker whose world collapses when his personal and professional life fall apart at the same time. Max, played by the iconic Chevy Chase, feels the pressure of his job at an advertising agency while also dealing with a breakup that leaves him heartbroken. As he tries to navigate these complications, he finds himself in a series of ridiculous situations that push him to the brink of madness.

After a bizarre encounter with a group of aliens, Max is endowed with a special ability to manipulate the reality around him, giving him a boost of confidence. However, as he tries to use his new powers to solve his problems, he soon discovers that playing with the forces of the universe is no child's play. Amid chaos and laughter, Max faces a myriad of neurotic characters and absurd situations that transform his everyday life into a real circus.

With a humorous and ironic take on the struggles of modern life, the plot intertwines moments of self-discovery and the search for balance amidst the disorder. As chaos accumulates around him, Max will learn that sometimes it's better to accept life as it comes rather than trying to control everything. Ultimately, Max's journey is a funny and entertaining reflection on the quest for happiness in a messy world.
