Irene is a young and ambitious television producer who dreams of having her own morning show in the big city. With endless energy and admirable determination, she sets out to find a job in the competitive world of journalism. When she finally gets an offer from a TV network that urgently needs to revitalize its breakfast program, Irene feels on top of the world. However, she quickly realizes that not every morning is sunny.
The production is plagued with problems: ratings are plummeting, the presenters are a disaster, and the little chemistry in the studio makes everything even more complicated. The star of the show is a famous but despicable news anchor who is more interested in maintaining his ego than in doing good journalism. While trying to bring the team together, Irene also has to cope with the pressure from her boss, who wants immediate results, and her new love, who doesn’t understand why she dedicates so much time to her job.
