In the bustling heart of Paris, a series of horrifying crimes grips the city, leaving the population terrified and the authorities in a state of panic. A masked psychopath stalks his victims in the darkness, leaving a trail of terror that the police struggle to follow. Jean Letang, a tenacious and seasoned police commissioner, becomes the lead investigator in this macabre case. As the number of victims grows, the pressure on him intensifies; he must not only deal with the complexity of the case but also with the distrust of his superiors and the frustration of a public demanding immediate answers.

As Letang delves into the twisted mind of the killer, his personal life begins to unravel. His relationship with his girlfriend, a beautiful and carefree dancer, is threatened by the intensity of his work and the constant shadow of danger. In a cat-and-mouse game, the line between hunter and prey blurs, and Letang is forced to confront his own demons. Every step he takes brings him closer to a heartbreaking clash with the murderer who has terrorized the city. With a tense atmosphere and striking visual style, this suspenseful story weaves personal anguish with the chaos that urban life has become, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the final outcome.
