In the 1960s, a widow making a living as a medium in Los Angeles finds herself struggling to keep her business afloat while raising her two daughters. As things become more complicated, she decides to incorporate a new element into her repertoire: a Ouija board. Hoping to attract more clients and put on a more convincing show, she begins using the board to make contact with the beyond. However, what initially seems like an innocent trick soon turns into a terrifying experience.
The medium's young daughter, Doris, becomes the target of dark forces unleashed through the Ouija board. Her behavior grows increasingly strange and disturbing, causing her mother and older sister to worry about her well-being. With tensions rising and horrifying visions haunting the family, a race against time begins to uncover the truth behind the dark spirits that have taken possession of the innocent girl.
As the supernatural events become more intense and dangerous, the mother is forced to confront her own beliefs and the consequences of playing with forces she does not understand. The film explores the boundaries of grief, loss, and the longing for communication with those who have departed, leading us to a chilling climax that leaves us questioning whether some things are better left in the beyond.
