In a world where mathematics and madness intertwine, a solitary genius named Max Cohen becomes obsessed with finding a pattern in the chaos of life. This mathematical prodigy lives in a messy apartment in New York, surrounded by a mountain of papers and graphs, and his only companion is a talking parrot. Tormented by migraines and his own mind, Max searches for a formula that can describe the nature of the universe and, with it, solve the mysteries that plague him.
His quest leads him to discover a number that could change everything, a number that, according to some, will yield infinite dividends in the financial world. However, as he delves deeper into his research, he encounters the wrath of a powerful Jewish community that covets the same secret and views his discovery as a means of control. At the same time, his mental health deteriorates, and what begins as an intellectual pursuit spirals into a nightmare.
The film plunges into a sea of paranoia as Max confronts his internal and external demons. With stylized direction and a haunting soundtrack, the plot explores the thin line between genius and madness, and how the desire to understand order amidst chaos can, paradoxically, lead to destruction. As he edges closer to the truth, Max must decide how far he is willing to go in his quest for clarity.
