In a small British village, the daily lives of its inhabitants are disrupted when a young artist and dreamer, Arthur, arrives in search of inspiration and a fresh start. Drawn to the colorful local characters, Arthur becomes a witness to the adventures and misadventures of the community, which revolves around a popular card game: truco.

The story centers on the rivalry between two families competing for the title of truco champions, while Arthur’s arrival brings a mix of creativity and chaos. With his charm and artistic vision, he not only captures the interest of the village’s young women but also becomes a catalyst for family conflicts and unrequited romances. Amid laughter and misunderstandings, the card game transcends mere tradition to reflect the aspirations and frustrations of each character.

As tensions rise, Arthur is forced to choose a side in the dispute, and in the process, he discovers the true meaning of friendship and love. With unexpected twists and comedic situations, the outcome of the truco competition will not only determine the winners but also reveal deep bonds that connect everyone present. In the end, Arthur’s experience culminates in a vibrant celebration that leaves everyone with a renewed sense of community and unity.
