The Property Man

In a bustling neighborhood of the city, a cunning real estate agent finds himself at a crossroads when his latest tactic to sell properties begins to crumble. With an eccentric personality and an unconventional approach, he decides to organize a series of viewings for various houses that, although mostly dilapidated, he presents as "unique opportunities" to unsuspecting buyers. Everything seems to be going smoothly until, in his attempt to make a spectacular sale, he encounters a group of tenants who are unwilling to leave their homes.

The situation escalates when the agent faces a group of tenants who, fed up with his banter and dubious persuasion tactics, decide to band together to confront him. With a mix of comedy and small doses of drama, the film portrays the absurdities of the real estate market and how people become trapped in the snares of a system that often overlooks their needs.

As the agent tries to navigate this web unscathed, he is forced to confront his own decisions and the consequences of his unchecked ambition. With an unexpected conclusion, the story not only explores the pursuit of personal success in a competitive world, but also touches on themes of community, solidarity, and the struggle for the space we consider our home. A reflection on urban life that, over a century since its making, remains as relevant today as it was then.
