In this peculiar romantic comedy, we follow the life of Barry Egan, a lonely and quirky pudding salesman living in Los Angeles. Barry is a man who has spent most of his life struggling with his own insecurities, resulting in an existence filled with anxiety and moments of pent-up rage. His world takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with the sweet and enigmatic Lena, who crosses his path through a peculiar connection.

As his feelings for Lena grow, so do the problems in his life. A conflict involving a phone sex line, which initially seems like a mere indiscretion, triggers a series of chaotic events that put Barry in an increasingly complicated situation. As he delves into the world of passion, love, and madness, he confronts his own inner demons, but also begins to discover a strength and courage he never knew he had.

The surreal atmosphere of the film, accompanied by unique cinematography and a captivating soundtrack, enhances Barry's emotional journey. Despite the adversities, the story hints at a contagious struggle for love and acceptance. Ultimately, it becomes a testament to how, sometimes, love can arise from the most unexpected places, inviting us to face our own insecurities and find happiness.
