On a dark and bustling street in San Francisco, a former detective finds himself caught in a whirlwind of corruption and crime. After an unfortunate turn in his career, he decides to open a small bar, believing that a quiet life is the solution. However, tranquility is short-lived when he becomes embroiled in the brutal death of a woman who, at first glance, appeared to be just a simple customer.

Awakened from his lethargy, our protagonist becomes the main suspect and races against time to prove his innocence. Along the way, he discovers that the victim was connected to a network of criminals and a shadowy world where money and power are the true masters. As he delves deeper into the investigation, he realizes that everyone around him has something to hide, including former colleagues and new acquaintances.

With the police closing in and no one to trust, the ex-detective forms an unexpected alliance with a daring journalist, whose quest for the truth puts her in the crosshairs of those who wish to keep everything shrouded in darkness. Together, they unearth secrets that could change everything, but could also cost them their lives. In this grim odyssey for justice, every corner of the street seems to breathe danger and betrayal, and loyalty becomes an almost nonexistent concept.
