In a humble neighborhood of a big city, a charismatic rag seller, known for his wit and optimism, struggles to make a living while trying to care for his small daughter, orphaned after her mother’s death. Life is not easy; every day is a battle between poverty and dignity. In his daily journey, he encounters a series of eccentric characters, from an old friend who has fallen into a bad lifestyle to a young dreamer who longs to escape the place that traps her.

As the story unfolds, the seller is forced to confront his own demons, from accumulating debts to the temptation of giving up his dream of providing a better life for his daughter. With every closed door he faces, he clings more tightly to his hope and love for her. However, a series of unfortunate events leads him to consider risky decisions, jeopardizing the relationship he cherishes so much.

The climax erupts in a poignant battle between despair and determination, showing that, despite the adversities, love and family will always prevail. With a focus on the human and emotional aspects, this silent film portrays a universal struggle for redemption and the quest for a better future, prompting viewers to question what they are willing to sacrifice for those they love the most.
