In this captivating adaptation of a literary classic, we follow the story of a young and inexperienced woman who falls in love with Maxim de Winter while working as a companion on the French Riviera. After a romantic encounter, their relationship blossoms rapidly, and soon the couple marries and moves to his imposing mansion, known as Manderley. However, the initial happiness is quickly overshadowed by the persistent shadow of Rebecca, Maxim's first wife, whose presence continues to linger in every corner of the house.

As our protagonist attempts to adapt to her new home, she faces the cold and oppressive figure of the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers, who seems obsessed with the memory of the late Rebecca. The young woman begins to feel increasingly insecure and anxious, convinced that she will never live up to the standard set by her deceased predecessor. Trapped in a web of jealousy and secrets, her life becomes a constant struggle to find her identity and her place in Manderley.

With each revelation, the atmosphere of the mansion grows more oppressive, as the young woman delves deeper into the mystery surrounding Rebecca's death. The film weaves a tale of love, betrayal, and the fight for self-realization, leading us to an unexpected climax that will change the lives of all involved. At its core, it is a story about the construction and destruction of identities, where the past never stops influencing the present.
