In a bustling neighborhood of Phnom Penh in the 1920s, the life of a young and ambitious rent collector intertwines with the stories of his tenants. Each month, this eccentric character wanders through the narrow streets filled with color, sound, and a deep sense of community. But his daily routine is not just a job; it is an opportunity to learn about the dreams and struggles of the people living in these modest homes.

Amid laughter and suffering, the collector becomes the confidant of a host of memorable characters, from a single mother fighting to keep her children afloat to an elderly artist harboring secrets of a forgotten past. However, tensions begin to rise when a new family moves into the neighborhood, bringing with them rivalries and old grudges that threaten to break the fragile balance of the community.

With each visit, the collector's life becomes more complicated as he discovers that his job transforms him not only into an executor of debts but also into a messenger of hope and redemption. Amid laughter and tears, he will be forced to choose between fulfilling his duty or embracing the power of human solidarity. With vibrant cinematography and a script that captures the essence of the era, this story will remind us that despite the difficulties, there is always room for empathy and connection among people.
