The River

In a small fishing village, life unfolds with the calm of the gentle waves that kiss the shore. Here, the story revolves around a young woman named Eliza, caught between her desire for freedom and the expectations of her traditional family. Since childhood, she has dreamed of exploring the vast world beyond the river that borders her home, a symbol of both life and limitations. Eliza yearns for adventures, but her mother pushes her toward a conventional future, where dreams drown in routine.

The arrival of an enigmatic outsider, Samuel, changes the dynamics of the village. He brings with him tales of distant lands and a restless spirit that inspires Eliza to dream big. Together, they share moments of joy and discovery, as their bond flourishes amidst the idyllic landscape. However, love comes with its own complications. The pressures of family business and the fear of the unknown threaten to shatter their hopes for a future together.

As the river witnesses their story, decisions become imminent. Will Eliza be able to leave behind her comfortable yet restricted life? Can Samuel be the catalyst for the change they both desire? With its nostalgic imagery and its message about the struggle for autonomy, the film captures the human longing to transcend imposed limitations and the eternal quest for a place in the world.
