In a bleak and desolate industrial setting, a young woman named Rosetta struggles to survive in working-class Europe. Tired of empty promises and a lack of opportunities, she decides she will not give up. From her home in a caravan with her mother, who seems trapped in a cycle of apathy and dependence, Rosetta feels like a castaway in a sea of hopelessness.

Determined to escape her precarious situation, she embarks on a frantic search for employment, clinging desperately to her dignity. However, her attempts are constantly thwarted by harsh reality: the lack of opportunities and the indifference of those around her. As she navigates a world that seems to be against her, she meets a young man named Riquet, who works in a factory. Though he initially appears as a glimmer of hope, he also represents a crossroads in her life, as Rosetta must decide whether to risk her already fragile emotional stability for a love that could be both a lifeline and a trap.

With a raw and realistic style, the story delves into the internal struggle of a young woman determined not to be defeated, exploring themes such as poverty, loneliness, and the search for identity. As the narrative unfolds, it becomes a reflection of the human need for connection and the agonizing quest for a better future. Rosetta's life reminds us that sometimes the struggle for dignity can be more challenging than the act of survival itself.
