The Sad Sack

In a small French town, a group of friends finds themselves caught in a web of entanglements and mischief that challenge both their friendship and their common sense. The story revolves around a young and carefree dreamer who, despite his well-defined intentions to do something meaningful with his life, gets carried away by distractions and the charm of the world around him.

Convinced that life is a series of opportunities that must be seized, he decides to rally his friends around an ambitious plan to organize a grand carnival in the town. However, his lack of organization and tendency to improvise lead to a series of comedic situations that spiral everything into absolute chaos. Misunderstandings, unrequited romances, and unexpected competition turn their project into an explosive mix of laughter and headaches.

As the characters confront their own insecurities and desires, the young dreamer learns important lessons about life, friendship, and responsibility. Amidst laughter and tears, the carnival becomes a reflection of the true spirit of the group: that sometimes, what matters most isn’t success, but the company and the memories we create along the way. With a unique visual style and a focus on camaraderie, this film offers a charming and nostalgic look at the frivolity and joy of youth.
