In a small town at the beginning of the 20th century, the life of a young woman named Mary revolves around her dreams of freedom and love. Mary, a woman marked by the oppression of a conservative environment, has been raised under the strict rules of her family and community. After a chance encounter with a charismatic traveler, she feels drawn to the possibility of venturing beyond the borders of her home, where the spirit of life and independence seems to pulse strongly.

The connection between them becomes a refuge from the rigidity of her reality. However, as their relationship deepens, social expectations and the pressure from her loved ones begin to intrude. The young woman struggles between following the path that society has laid out for her or risking everything for love and an authentic life.

As the story unfolds, Mary faces heart-wrenching decisions that lead her to explore not only her heart but also her identity. Family tensions and the desire to conform to societal norms clash with her longing for freedom. With nostalgic cinematography and a script that captures the internal struggle of the protagonist, the plot unfolds in a poignant exploration of the sacrifices often required to find true happiness. This story of love and self-discovery is a reminder that sometimes, breaking free entails a brave fight against the established order.
