During World War II, a group of French soldiers known as the Seventh Company finds themselves trapped in a series of absurd and comical misadventures. After getting lost in enemy territory, these unusual fighters—each with rather peculiar personalities—must find a way to survive while searching for their way back to their defensive line. As they face a gallery of ridiculous situations—such as encounters with Germans, a quiet POW camp, and a series of misunderstandings—humor ensues.
The story focuses on a trio of protagonists: the naive and somewhat clumsy soldier Pluchard, the brave but disastrous captain of the company, and a courageous engineer who always has an ace up his sleeve. Together, they attempt to evade their enemies, but each attempt seems to only lead to more entanglements. From escapades in an old country to a surprising mystical encounter under the moon, their exploits take them through hilarious twists and unexpected rivalries.
As they traverse the battlefield, they also ponder the deepest question of all: What is war really about, and how does one survive amidst the chaos? With a light-hearted approach, filled with jokes and compromising situations, the protagonists discover that, even in the darkest moments, camaraderie and friendship can be the true beacon of hope in the storm. A perfect blend of action and comedy, capturing the madness of war through laughter.
