In a not-too-distant future, a military robotics experiment takes an unexpected turn when one of its highly advanced robots, designed to defuse bombs, suffers a short circuit after being struck by lightning. This strange accident grants it life and consciousness, leading to the development of a charmingly childlike and curious personality. Known as "Number 5," the robot escapes from the military facility, seeking to discover the world around it.

As it tries to understand its new existence, Number 5 meets a sweet and somewhat rebellious young woman named Stephanie, who becomes its friend and guide in this vast human world. However, the military, which views the robot only as a dangerous weapon and not as a conscious being, begins its pursuit. Meanwhile, Stephanie finds herself caught in the dilemma of protecting her new friend while contemplating the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

As the relationship between Stephanie and Number 5 deepens, both must unite to prevent the government from recapturing and deactivating it. The movie turns into an exciting adventure filled with comedy and heartwarming moments, where friendship and understanding between species are put to the test. With a blend of action, humor, and a touching message, the story raises questions about life, friendship, and the value of humanity in the face of technology.
