In a humble neighborhood in China during the 1990s, the story takes us to the heart of a family that runs an old public bath. The routine of their days is interrupted when the son, a rebellious and dreamy young man, returns home after dropping out of school in the city. His arrival sparks a series of family tensions, but also a profound reflection on the past and unfulfilled dreams.

The father, a strong-willed man whose life has been marked by adversity, feels constantly frustrated by the state of his business and his son's lack of ambition. At the same time, he faces his own ghosts while trying to keep the tradition of the bath alive in a world that is rapidly moving toward modernity. On the other hand, the younger brother, a curious child, provides a comic relief amid the daily routine.

Set against a backdrop of personal struggles and the search for identity, the film captures the essence of family relationships and the sense of belonging. As the son reconciles with his father, both learn the importance of accepting their pasts and finding their place in a changing world. This poignant tale, filled with laughter and tears, reminds us that sometimes true wealth is found in the simplest moments and the deepest human connections.
