In an elegant and nostalgic 1970s Turin, an intriguing murder case shakes the Italian high society. The life of a famous architect, consumed by routine and disdain, takes an unexpected turn when the beautiful and enigmatic woman he was involved with becomes the prime suspect in the horrendous crime. The victim is a prominent lawyer, a man with an impeccable reputation, whose death unleashes a whirlwind of secrets, lies, and hidden passions.

The police inspector, a cynical yet candid man, finds himself drawn into a world of superficiality and glamour in his quest for truth. As he delves into the lives of Turin's elite, he realizes that beauty is merely a mask concealing countless heartbreaking truths. Each member of the elite seems to have something to hide, and the inspector must untangle the complex relationships among them while grappling with his own demons and desires.

With a tense atmosphere and incisive discourse on the superficiality of appearances, the story unfolds like a captivating game of cat and mouse. Amid unexpected twists and shocking revelations, the inspector faces a moral dilemma that will compel him to question not only guilt and innocence but also his own desires and the fragility of life itself.
