In this fun and somewhat crazy Christmas comedy, we follow a nostalgic and wealthy bachelor named Drew Latham, who, after a disastrous heartbreak, decides he needs to reclaim the holiday spirit he once had. To do this, he makes a rather extreme decision: to rent a family to adopt him for the festivities, as he has no one else to celebrate with. Thus, he shows up at the door of the Valco home, a normal family that isn’t exactly thrilled to have a stranger in their house.
The Valcos, led by matriarch Christine and father Jack, are initially skeptical of Drew's strange proposal, but the situation quickly turns into a whirlwind of hilarious events. Drew tries to get involved in all of the family traditions, from decorating the tree to planning the perfect dinner, which leads to tensions and overload in their already chaotic family life. In his attempt to connect, Drew challenges the family dynamics, bringing to light secrets and unexpressed longings.
As Christmas approaches, both Drew and the Valcos learn valuable lessons about family, love, and the importance of sharing special moments. With plenty of laughter, ridiculous situations, and a touch of unexpected romance, this story reminds us that the true essence of the season is not just about gifts, but about the connections we form with each other.
