In a small town in Ohio, Curtis LaForche is an apparently normal man who works hard to support his family. However, his life takes a sudden turn when he begins to experience unsettling and terrifying visions of an impending apocalypse. Nightmares filled with storms and his growing anxiety push him to the brink of madness, leaving him in doubt about what is real and what is the product of his troubled mind.

As the days go by, Curtis struggles against his fears. His obsession with building a storm shelter becomes an urgent necessity, but his actions start to raise concerns among his wife, Samantha, and their daughter, who do not understand the torment he is going through. While he tries to keep his family life afloat, the pressure to prepare his family for the worst further strains his relationships.

Curtis's anguish creates a heartbreaking portrait of mental health and the effect of fear on the family unit. As the visions become more frequent and vivid, it becomes increasingly difficult to separate reality from paranoia. The film unfolds as a psychological thriller, in which the protagonist's internal struggle intensifies, leading the audience to wonder whether his forebodings are more than mere fantasies or a sign of something truly terrifying to come.
