The Tenant

In the heart of Paris, a solitary and timid man moves into an apartment in an old building, seeking a fresh start and a way to escape the hustle and bustle of his previous life. However, he soon realizes that his new home harbors a disturbing and mysterious aura. The atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive as he begins to notice that his neighbors are rather peculiar and, at times, even hostile.

As he tries to adapt, his mental health begins to deteriorate, fueled by growing paranoia and a sense of claustrophobia. The situation worsens when he becomes obsessed with the history of the previous tenant, a woman who met a tragic and chilling fate. His quest for answers leads him to delve into the dark secrets of the building and to question his own identity.

Caught between reality and his delusions, his life spirals into isolation, anguish, and madness, where the physical space of the apartment reflects his own mental state. The film explores themes of alienation, identity, and the nature of madness, immersing the viewer in a disquieting atmosphere that intensifies with each plot twist. In the end, the line between what is real and what is not blurs horrifyingly, leaving everyone questioning how far the human mind can go when faced with loneliness and fear.
