In a small seaside town at the beginning of the 20th century, the life of a young woman named Mary takes an unexpected turn when her strict father, a cold-hearted businessman, decides it’s time to secure her marital future. In a desperate attempt to control her destiny, Mary’s father arranges her engagement to a wealthy and potentially unpleasant man. However, Mary harbors a secret: she has been in love with a charismatic local artist, Tom, for two years, who embodies everything her father despises.

Frustrated by this situation, Mary makes a bold decision and elopes with Tom, hoping their love will give them the strength to defy convention. While they hide away, the couple experiences days filled with joy and freedom, exploring love and life without restrictions. However, their happiness is threatened when Mary’s father unleashes his wrath and resources to find them, forcing the couple to confront the harsh reality of their situation.

In an exciting climax, Mary must choose between the safety offered by her father's world and the risky love she shares with Tom. Will true love prevail over social and familial expectations, or will their sweet adventure fade as quickly as it began? The film is an emotional journey that blends romance, drama, and the struggle for personal freedom in a highly restrictive context.
