In a picturesque Italian village from the 1960s, the tireless and comedic Totò finds himself in the midst of a mix-up that will lead him to confront the legendary hero of nature’s forces, Maciste. The story begins when Totò, a cunning local man, gets caught up in a series of misunderstandings that result in him being mistaken for a brave gladiator.
Meanwhile, Maciste, the muscular hero who is always on the lookout for adventures, arrives in the village to help the citizens free themselves from a tyrant who has taken control and is terrorizing everyone.
