In the heart of 1950s Paris, a veteran gangster named Max, who has spent his life stealing and evading the law, finally finds the longing for a quiet life. With a new fortune in his pocket, he has decided to retire and enjoy simple pleasures like good wine and conversations with friends. However, his dark past comes knocking at his door in unexpected ways. An ambitious young criminal, seduced by the temptation of easy money, sets his sights on the prized loot that Max has accumulated over the years.

The tension intensifies when the young man tries to manipulate Max, dragging him back into a world of deception and betrayal. As loyalties are tested, Max is forced to navigate a maze of violence and cunning to protect what he has earned. On his journey, he also encounters old allies and rivals, creating a moral landscape filled with dilemmas where friendship and betrayal walk hand in hand.

With an atmosphere thick with suspense and a script that shines with sharp dialogues, the story unfolds between the glamour and the shadows of a criminal life, showing that the search for retirement is sometimes just an illusion. Max must decide whether it's worth fighting for his safety or succumbing to the darkness that has haunted him his entire life.
