In the bustling Tokyo of the 1960s, the lives of three characters intertwine in a delightful romantic comedy. The story begins with an American, an aristocrat in search of a new adventure, who finds himself in the city as part of his work. Unable to find accommodation, he ends up improvising a plan and moves into an apartment where a young woman, an aspiring Olympic athlete, lives. She is desperate to find a roommate to help cover the rent and begins to consider the unexpected guest as an option.

The plot thickens when an attractive Japanese businessman also enters the young woman's life, creating a love triangle filled with misunderstandings and comedic situations. As the aristocrat tries to help the young woman make her way in the sports world, their attraction and friendship begin to blossom, but his desire for her success also conflicts with his own feelings.

Set against the backdrop of Tokyo, the film blends cultural elements, comedy, and romance, taking us on a journey through a series of entanglements that culminate in a resolution that makes us question whether love is about running or walking in the right direction. The elements of humor and the chemistry between the characters provide us with a charming and nostalgic glimpse into an era of change and possibilities, while also making us laugh with their antics.
