In the vibrant yet dangerous city of New York, a diverse group of Cuban exiles finds themselves trapped between the American dream and the political oppression they left behind. Amidst this turmoil, a young idealist and apolitical newcomer, who has arrived in the Big Apple seeking a better life, crosses paths with an enthusiastic and energetic woman who harbors a dark secret about her past.

When he discovers that his new friend is deeply involved in a resistance group planning a bold strike against the regime in Cuba, the protagonist is drawn into a world of espionage and conspiracies. Tension escalates as the group faces betrayal and the ever-looming threat of the authorities, putting not only their mission at risk but also their lives.

Relationships become complicated when their connection turns into a passionate romance, testing their loyalty and the strength of their convictions. Together, they must make difficult decisions; the quest for freedom transforms into a path full of moral dilemmas and sacrifices, where each step could be their last. With a tense and emotional narrative that reflects the internal struggle between love and duty, this story captures the essence of a time and place where hope and danger are two sides of the same coin. In the most cherished pizzeria in the city, the fate of these souls in search of freedom pivots toward an unexpected and poignant ending.
