In a small, cluttered apartment, a lonely man struggling with morbid obesity lives a reclusive life, distanced from the world around him. With his health in a critical state, he tries to reconnect with his teenage daughter, Ellie, whom he has barely seen since he separated from his wife. As the relationship between father and daughter unfolds, old resentments and unresolved sadnesses come to the surface. Ellie, resentful and hurt, is defiant and cynical, creating an atmosphere charged with tension and pain.

Throughout the film, we delve into this man's memories, which include his former life, his choices, and the last moments of a love that faded away. We also explore his internal struggle against the demons that have led him to his current situation. With the help of a nurse who visits regularly and a former student seeking support, the protagonist must confront not only his physical collapse but also the emotions he has tried to avoid.

The story becomes a poignant exploration of redemption, forgiveness, and the longing for connection amidst loneliness. As encounters and misencounters unfold, the film sheds light on the quest for love and acceptance, prompting us to reflect on the importance of family, the mistakes of the past, and the possibility of a new beginning, even when it seems that all is lost.
