In a small town in Georgia, a war veteran returns home marked by his experiences on the battlefield and a profound spiritual crisis. Stripped of illusions and trapped in a world of mediocrity, he encounters a mysterious and intriguing preacher who presents him with a new way of understanding faith. However, what begins as a search for meaning soon transforms into a dark and twisted journey where obsession and nihilism intertwine.

As he tries to find his place in an environment that seems to offer nothing but disillusionment, the protagonist forms a strange friendship with a young woman who is also seeking her path, but their worldviews are radically different. The road to redemption becomes complicated, filled with moral dilemmas and internal conflicts, as he confronts his own inability to believe in something greater than himself.

The story delves into the madness of faith in times of ethical disintegration, offering a surreal portrait of the Southern America, where fanaticism and contradictions are the norm. The protagonist’s quest will lead him to confront his own demons and question what it truly means to believe. With a raw tone and memorable characters, the narrative becomes a profound reflection on the human perspective of hope and despair.
