In a charming coastal town, two lifelong friends, Marc and Julia, have been toying with the idea of marriage for years, but they have never managed to take the definitive step. Marc, a hopeless dreamer, has always been more focused on his artistic ambitions than on the idea of settling down and starting a family. On the other hand, Julia, practical and a bit more realistic, feels it's time for them both to confront their feelings.
The plot thickens when the arrival of a new suitor, the sophisticated and wealthy Roger, jeopardizes their relationship. Julia is drawn to the promises of security and adventure that Roger represents, while Marc, jealous and alarmed, begins to realize that his friendship with Julia might be on the verge of crumbling. Meanwhile, tangled up in misunderstandings and comedic situations, they must both face their true desires and assess whether they are really ready to become something more than friends.
As the story unfolds, the film plays with romantic entanglements, comedic moments, and a pinch of drama, leading the audience to question the nature of love and whether they can truly find happiness together. With cinematography that captures the essence of the era, the characters are forced to discover if itβs possible to be "almost a husband" without losing what truly connects them.
