In the bustling environment of a metropolis during the 1930s, a young businessman, newly arrived from the countryside, finds himself caught up in a series of entanglements that test his ethics and ambition. Drawn by the promise of a life filled with opportunities and excitement, he settles into a room in an old building where he meets a colorful community of tenants. Among them is a cabaret singer with dreams of grandeur, a frustrated artist searching for his big break, and an old soothsayer who warns him about the dangers of urban life.

Soon, our protagonist plunges into the business world, trying to climb the ranks in a powerful company. However, he finds himself caught in a power struggle between rival executives and must navigate a sea of intrigues and betrayals. Tension mounts as he is torn between his growing ambition and his deepening friendship with the singer, who represents everything he once longed to leave behind.

As he tries to find his place in this concrete jungle, the young man must confront his own morality, questioning how far he is willing to go to achieve success. As events unfold, dreams and realities collide, painting a vivid portrait of life in the big city. With an unexpected conclusion, this story resonates deeply, reminding us that the cost of success often comes with sacrifices.
