In a post-war Paris, a young artist in crisis, trapped between despair and the search for inspiration, encounters an enigmatic figure who seems to offer him the chance to achieve success in exchange for a dark pact. This stranger, nothing more than a representation of the devil, presents him with a mysterious object: a sculpted hand that grants him exceptional talent to create masterpieces. In a twist of events, the artist accepts the offer and begins to produce works that dazzle critics and the public alike, gaining fame overnight.

However, with every brushstroke he paints and every exhibition he holds, he becomes increasingly bound to the hidden price of his success. As his renown grows, so do the shadows of his past, and he starts to suffer from his burgeoning obsession and the loss of his humanity. His relationships deteriorate, including the connection with his beloved, who begins to notice the changes in him.

As the plot unfolds, the artist confronts the consequences of his choice, leading to a heart-wrenching confrontation between his yearning for recognition and the value of his true essence. The film compels us to question: how far would you be willing to go for success? In this unsettling parable about ambition, creation, and downfall, the viewer will be immersed in a journey that explores the fine line between genius and madness.
