In a small, bustling town in the United States during the 1970s, a group of Korean War veterans faces civilian life, marked by disenchantment and a lack of opportunities. The leader of the group, a charismatic and battle-hardened ex-soldier named Carter, concludes that his experience on the battlefield could be his greatest ally in the fight against the growing corruption and crime plaguing their neighborhood. Aware that the system is designed to let them down, Carter decides to gather his old comrades, who silently suffer the effects of war and disillusionment, to form a team ready to take back control of their home.
Gradually, the group recruits various characters: a resourceful mechanic, a tech-savvy ex-Marine, and a brave single mother who dreams of a better world for her son. Together, they embark on a series of undercover operations, dismantling the criminal networks that operate in broad daylight and restoring a sense of community to their neighborhood. As they delve deeper into this adventure, they must contend not only with the dangers of organized crime but also with their own traumas and broken relationships.
The film is a journey of redemption, friendship, and love for their country, where the protagonists' past becomes the driving force that compels them to fight for a better future. In a climate of constant tension, they will discover that being a hero doesn’t always mean wearing a cape.
