In a vibrant and lively metropolis, the prospect of a grim future looms over its inhabitants as war drags men into an unprecedented conflict. In this context, the women left behind are forced to assume roles that were once exclusive to men, demonstrating their bravery and determination in times of crisis. The story follows several protagonists, each with their own struggles, desires, and dreams, as they confront the harsh reality of scarcity, deprivation, and uncertainty.

Among them is Lydia, a woman who has always lived in the shadow of her husband, who has gone off to war. Now, the responsibility of keeping her household running falls on her shoulders, and she discovers a strength she never knew she had. Alongside her is Rosa, a young woman determined to enlist as a nurse, fast-tracking her journey to independence while facing the stigma of emotional turmoil. And we cannot forget Adele, a bold entrepreneur trying to keep her business afloat, testing her ingenuity and resilience in a world that seems to be crumbling.

As the women strive to find their place in this new reality, they become the backbone of a society in crisis, redefining the concept of community and solidarity. The film captures the essence of the female struggle and the power of collective work, showing that even in the darkest moments, hope can blossom.
