While Sue works on a feature for a prestigious newspaper, Mick finds himself completely dazzled and, at times, confused by the bustling life of the Californian city. Although Mick is an expert in the wild nature of his homeland, the urban jungle of L.A. presents entirely new challenges he never imagined.
As Sue immerses herself in her work, Mick embarks on a series of hilarious misunderstandings, from dealing with thieves in subway stations to confronting the extravagant conventions and fashions of Hollywood. His simple lifestyle and worldview clash with the superficiality of life in the big city, creating comedic situations that reflect the clash between two cultures.
