In early 20th century Germany, a respected musician, Dr. Wulf, finds himself trapped in a world that does not accept his true identity. Publicly, he presents himself as an exemplary family man, but his secret life has been filled with forbidden love and hidden desires as he seeks an authentic connection with other men. Everything changes when he falls in love with a young artist who, like him, struggles to live in a hostile environment towards his homosexuality.

As their relationship intensifies, social pressure and the fear of being discovered begin to deeply affect Wulf. In his quest for acceptance, he becomes a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, challenging the norms of a society that views his love as a crime. However, this activism is not without risks, and he soon faces the brutality of a legal system that attempts to silence his voice.

The plot thickens further when Wulf realizes that his life is at risk, not only because of his romantic relationship but also due to the high ideals he has chosen to defend. Torn between love and duty, he embarks on a desperate struggle for freedom, both for himself and for those who share his fate. Through his journey, the story explores the pain and beauty of being different in a world that fears the unknown, leaving an indelible mark on the art of cinema of the time.
