In this peculiar surrealist comedy, a group of friends from the French bourgeoisie attempts to gather everyone for a formal dinner. However, as the story progresses, they realize that life has other plans. Each attempt to sit at the table is interrupted by a series of absurd and unexpected situations: from untimely visits and confusion over the arrival of guests to the most eccentric scenarios that turn a simple gathering into a series of extravagant events.
The narrative, rich in humor and social criticism, becomes a game of perception, where the real and the fantastic intertwine. Throughout the film, the protagonists find themselves trapped in a struggle against time and circumstances while trying to understand their place in a society that, despite its apparent opulence, is full of emptiness and dysfunctions. In an environment where courtesy and elegance seem to be the goal, reality always intervenes in comical and sometimes bewildering ways.
With bold direction and a unique aesthetic, this work examines the values and behaviors of the upper class, inviting the audience to question the superficiality of bourgeois life. Will they finally manage to sit down for dinner? The answer is not only surprising but also a biting reflection on human nature and social conventions.
