In bustling Washington D.C. during World War II, a group of women who feel lonely and out of place find themselves in a hotel full of surprises and entanglements. The story follows a group of young women who have come to the city for various reasons, whether in search of work, love, or simply to escape a monotonous life. Set against the backdrop of the war, their hopes are interrupted by a misunderstanding regarding a series of rooms that leads to a comical string of confusions.

It all begins when the somewhat absent-minded hotel manager confuses the reservations, resulting in a ruckus of unique characters and hilarious situations. As the protagonists try to adapt to their new lives and find their place in the world, their personal stories become intertwined. Amid laughter, tears, and a bit of romance, they discover not only friendship among themselves but also the strength of female camaraderie in difficult times.

While the hotel becomes a refuge for these young women seeking new meaning, the audience laughs and feels moved by their misadventures. With sharp humor and absurd situations, this film offers a glimpse into the lives of strong women who defy the expectations of their time, all while trying to navigate the chaos and confusion that war has brought to their lives. The witty banter and hilarious misunderstandings keep the energy high in this classic comedy.
