The Draughtsman's Contract

In 18th century England, a talented draftsman and visual artist, hired by an aristocrat, arrives at a majestic mansion to create a series of drawings of the property. His task seems simple: to capture the beauty of the place and the essence of its owners, but it soon turns into a game of intrigue far darker than it appears. As the artist delves into the family's life, he begins to uncover hidden secrets and tense relationships that swirl among the household members.

Through exquisite and piercing visual style, the film transports us to a world where appearance and reality often clash. The aristocrat, fascinated both by the artist's skill and his captivating personality, becomes embroiled in an emotional tug-of-war that tests loyalties and hidden passions. As the drawings he creates become a mirror of the truth, tensions mount and a tragic outcome looms over everyone.

With an immersive atmosphere and a narrative that blends suspense, eroticism, and symbolism, the question arises whether art can capture the essence of life or merely reveal its ruins. The boundaries between the creator and his work blur, leaving all the characters trapped in an intriguing game where every stroke can be fatal.
