Nicole is a teenager who feels trapped in her daily life and seeks a bit of excitement in her senior year of high school. Everything changes when she realizes that the boy she has always considered her "friend" in the neighborhood, the rebellious and attractive Chase, might be the key to escaping her monotony. In order to attract the attention of her popular ex-boyfriend, Nicole decides to make a deal with Chase: he will pretend to be her boyfriend for a while.

As they spend more time together, the chemistry between Nicole and Chase becomes undeniable, but jealousy and misunderstandings also begin to arise. Nicole discovers that Chase is hiding personal issues that deeply affect him, while he tries to understand the social pressures his new girlfriend faces. Comedic situations and embarrassing moments quickly appear, filling the story with laughter and teenage tension.

Will they be able to overcome their differences and realize that what they truly desire is closer than they think? As the school year progresses and graduation approaches, Nicole and Chase will need to learn to set aside the expectations of those around them and open themselves up to the possibility of an unexpected love. With a charming conclusion, this story showcases the journey of two young people who discover not only love but also the importance of being true to themselves.
