In the 1970s, two childhood friends, Christopher Boyce and Andrew D. “Drew” Hall, feel trapped by a lack of opportunities and dissatisfaction with the system. Christopher, a brilliant young man with access to U.S. intelligence secrets due to his work at a defense company, decides it’s time to do something bold. With the intention of changing the course of what he sees as a corrupt country, he teams up with Drew, a resentful former high school student who lacks a clear direction in life.

The two friends embark on a risky plan involving the sale of secret information about the CIA to the Soviet Union, hoping to gain a fortune and a sense of purpose. However, what begins as an adventure filled with idealism soon turns into a dangerous game, where betrayal and loyalty intertwine. As they delve deeper into the dark world of espionage, tensions rise and the consequences of their actions begin to haunt them.

The film explores complex themes such as friendship, overflowing idealism, and the struggle against a seemingly oppressive system. With a backdrop of real events, the story becomes a reflection of an era when distrust and disillusionment with the government were palpable. As the friends navigate a treacherous path, they must confront their own decisions and the realities of a world from which there is no turning back.
