In a space experiment gone wrong, a group of scientists and a friend become exposed to powerful cosmic radiation. Johnny Storm, the spark of the group, transforms into the fire specialist known as the Human Torch, capable of flying and generating flames at will. His sister, Sue Storm, becomes the Invisible Woman, able to vanish and create force fields. The daring Reed Richards, known as Mr. Fantastic, gains the ability to stretch and reshape himself at will.
