In an epic tale spanning several decades, this film narrates the extraordinary life of a man who became the spiritual and political leader of a nation. From his humble beginnings in India to becoming a global symbol of peaceful resistance, the story begins with a young Gandhi who feels uncomfortable with racial discrimination in South Africa, where he studies law. Drawing from his experience, he adopts the philosophy of nonviolence, which leads him to fight for the freedom of Indians abroad with deep empathy.

Upon returning to India, Gandhi becomes a cornerstone in the struggle for the country’s independence from British rule. His charisma and ability to mobilize the masses spark fervor and hope among various social classes, from farmers to the elite. As his struggle progresses, he faces multiple challenges, from arrests to brutal repression, but he never deviates from his principle of nonviolence.

Tensions between Hindus and Muslims intensify on the path to independence, culminating in tragic divisions. With the arrival of 1947, India finally attains its freedom, but at a high cost. Despite longstanding efforts, the story of this leader not only resonates in his country but also across the world, leaving an indelible legacy of peace and justice.
