A young African American photographer, Chris, feels excited yet nervous about meeting the parents of his white girlfriend, Rose. Upon arriving at the country house, he is confronted with a strange and somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere, where what seems to be a simple family weekend turns into something unsettling. As Chris tries to fit in with this peculiar family, he begins to notice odd behaviors among the other members of the community, especially in the black employees of the estate, who seem to be under a disturbing spell of servility.

As the visit progresses, Chris uncovers dark secrets surrounding a strange racial dynamic. Interactions that initially seemed harmless turn into a game of tension where he is the only one who appears to see what is really happening. Over time, the atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive and surreal, leading him to question everything, from Rose's loyalty to the true nature of the family.

When he finally unravels the horror lurking behind the friendly facade, Chris finds himself trapped in a nightmare where his life is at stake. This combination of psychological horror and social critique offers a chilling insight into the complexities of race, identity, and manipulation, taking the viewer on a memorable journey that lingers long after the credits have rolled.
