On a quiet Halloween night in 1963, a boy named Michael Myers brutally murders his older sister in their home in Haddonfield, Illinois. After spending fifteen years in a psychiatric hospital, Michael escapes on Halloween Eve, returning to his hometown. While his doctor, Dr. Loomis, tries to warn authorities about the danger he poses, Michael moves in the shadows, stalking his next victims.
That night, Laurie Strode, a teenager trying to have a normal Halloween night with her friends, becomes the target of Michael's terrifying obsession. She is a bit different; instead of succumbing to the typical teenage shenanigans, she focuses on her studies and takes care of her little brother. This makes her the only one capable of confronting the looming malevolent influence.
As the leaves fall and the jack-o’-lanterns light up, Michael begins to hunt her friends one by one, leaving a trail of horror in his wake. Loomis, desperate to stop him, faces the reality that evil has a face, and it is aimed at Laurie. The night unfolds into a deadly game of cat and mouse, where Laurie must use her wits to survive against a masked psychopath who will stop at nothing to achieve his mission. Tension and terror engulf Haddonfield, where true horror wears the mask of fear.
