In a not-so-distant future, a pair of domestic robots, a man named Val and a woman named A.C. (Associated Companion), find themselves trapped in an industrial facility where they are about to be discarded. But something unexpected happens: in the midst of their programming, both develop a spark of consciousness and feelings. Deciding that life as scrap is not what they want, they choose to escape together in search of freedom and love, despite being designed to serve.

The adventure begins when our peculiar duo sneaks out of the factory, facing the complexities of the human world around them. From comedic chases with company security to interactions with other robots and humans, Val and A.C. navigate the challenges of understanding life, love, and freedom. As they travel, they encounter a series of colorful and entertaining characters that reflect the diversity of human experience, which the robot pair yearns to experience.

Along the way, the relationship between Val and A.C. deepens, leading to a mix of comedy and heartfelt moments as they confront their programming and the possibility of a future together. In a world dominated by technology, the story reminds us that even synthetic beings can have their own dreams and desires. Their journey becomes a reflection on the quest for a place in the world and the meaning of true love.
