In the year 2020, a team of scientists ventures into the desert planet of Tantalus to conduct research on the origin of life. As they explore the inhospitable terrain and collect samples, the situation soon turns into a nightmare. A series of strange events begin to unfold when one of the researchers, after an accidental encounter with an alien life form, becomes the target of a dangerous fertilization.
The woman, who initially appears to regain normalcy, soon experiences unsettling changes.
