In the midst of the American Civil War, a divided country faces its greatest moral challenge. With the nation completely fractured and its future at stake, the president finds himself at a crossroads between saving the Union and abolishing slavery. As battles rage and blood is shed, Abraham Lincoln embarks on a titanic struggle not only against the Confederates but also against prejudice and the internal politics of his own government.

With a cabinet full of opponents and a population deeply polarized in opinion, Lincoln realizes he must act with shrewdness and determination. Ingeniously, he decides that the best way to ensure the Union's victory is through slavery. In a race against time, he seeks the approval of the Thirteenth Amendment, which would permanently abolish slavery. Surrounded by allies and enemies who present constant challenges, Lincoln must navigate a complex web of political conspiracies while confronting the ethical dilemmas of his mission.

The film offers an intimate portrayal of the man behind the myth, illustrating his vulnerability and indomitable will. As events unfold, Lincoln's story intertwines with the struggles of those who depend on his leadership to achieve freedom. This is a poignant and powerful tale of morality, sacrifice, and the arduous path to justice in difficult times.
