The Mad Miss Manton

In the bustling New York of the 1930s, an eccentric heiress and her group of friends find themselves embroiled in a mysterious murder after discovering a corpse on their way to a high-society gala. Manton, the protagonist, is a daring young woman whose social life is as vibrant as her personality. When she and her equally unusual friends stumble upon a fainted body in an abandoned building, they decide to take the situation into their own hands.

Challenging both the police and skeptics to solve the case, Manton becomes the leader of this improbable investigation. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they encounter a series of unexpected twists and plots, with each friend contributing her unique perspective. Amid the chaos, jealousy and romantic entanglements also add to the atmosphere: the detective in charge of the case begins to see Manton not only as a suspect but also as an intriguing woman.

With a bit of action, a good dose of comedy, and plenty of humorous interactions, the story unfolds in a whirlwind of laughter and suspense. As the clues pile up, Manton must race against time to unmask the true culprit before she and her friends become the next victims. A night of madness that will reveal much more than just a simple crime; friendship, courage, and romance are at stake!
